All our lights take LED lightbulbs. LED (if you ever wondered, it stands for Light Emitting Diode and you should probably get out more) lightbulbs are about 90 per cent more efficient than traditional lightbulbs. They do not contain hazardous chemicals, so it is safer to throw them away into your household rubbish. However, increasingly more recycling centres will accept them, so it is definitely worth checking. And if your local recycling centre does not yet accept them, why not apply the pressure and encourage them to!
Sadly, and please take note, lightbulbs are one of the most common items found abandoned at the bottom of the ocean. Let’s rectify this.
