Pink, named after a flower of the same name, was first used as a colour name in the late 17th century. It was originally identified as a male colour but in the mid 20th century came to be known as a feminine hue. Recently, it seems to be breaking free of those blinkered connotations and it was one of the first colours that we fell in love with when creating our colour palette. It’s one of our favourite light shade combinations – cool and confident by day, hot and seductive by night.
